Toenail Fungus Laser Treatment

Afraid to wear open-toed sandals in the summer because your toenails are infected with fungus?

This summer you can show off your feet with our Laser Treatment for Toenail Fungus.

We know that this can be quite embarrassing, yet it doesn’t need to be. It is often very difficult to get rid of the infection. You may be wondering how long it takes for toenail fungus to go away naturally. The answer is no as toenail fungus don’t go away by itself without proper treatment. If you don’t treat it, it might get worse or even spread to other nails. Our Chiropodists have created a unique and successful program to help rid our patients of the embarrassing problem. Is the Procedure done in the Office?

Yes. Laser treatments for nail fungus are quick, lasting approximately 30-60 minutes depending on the severity of your toenail infection. Your nails may need to be thinned prior to your laser treatment in order to achieve the best results. You will be assisted by experienced Chiropodists registered with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario.

How Many Treatments do I Need?

Depending on the severity of your condition, 3 treatments are usually recommended. The treatments are done one month apart.

Does the Treatment Hurt?

The nail laser treatments are usually quite comfortable. You may experience a gentle warming or tingling as the laser works to clear your nail.

Does it Work and How Soon Will I See Improvement?

On average, a toenail will replace itself every 12-18 months. Healthy new growth will be visible within the first 2 months as your nails continue to grow following the laser treatment.

What are the Toenail Laser Fungus Treatment Side Effects?

That is the great news! There are no side effects on your body as the light beam of the laser treatment is focused on the affected area only. That makes this treatment a very safe alternative to oral prescription medication and there is no interruption in your regular activities.

Am I a Candidate for Laser Nail Treatment?
